Anti-Bullying Information

Both Jane Addams Middle School and Will Rogers Middle School have worked hard on their anti-bullying programs. Below are some of the resources being implemented at the sites.

The Connect Safely webpage provides tips to help students stop cyberbullying.

The Let's Get Real video gives students the chance to tell their own stories.

The Mix it Up Schools Program encourages students "mix it up" at lunch by sitting with a different group of students.

The Net Smartz Cyberbullying page has information for parents to support their child.

The Teaching Channel has a short video on the complex issues related to cyberbullying.

SBAC Practice Tests for Students

The Smarter Balanced (SBAC) Field Test will begin in April. To help prepare, students can take both the Practice and Training Tests online as many times as they want. Visit Smarter Balanced Student Portal to use the practice tests. In addition, the California Department of Education has created a video for middle school students. The video introduces students to the Field Test and explain the significant contribution they will make in helping to create the operational tests for 2014–15. Middle schools students can watch the video here.
